Salobre is typical of this part of the island in that it features many ravines and has volcanic soil. Salobre Norte golf course measures is known as the "beast" of the two course at the Salobre resort and the incorporation of the volcanic lansdcape into Ron Kirby's 2008 design sets it apart from any other golf course in Gran Canaria. The natural beauty of Gran Canaria is brilliantly showcased in a golf course that is certainly not for the fainthearted. The course measures of 5500 metres from the championship tees and has a par of 72. The original 18 hole course, Salobre Sur, acts as the beauty to the beast of Salobre Norte.
