On the promenade of the delightful seaside town of Rhos-on-Sea and not far from the Victorian town Llandudno Rhos-On-Sea Golf Club is the perfect spot for a golfing trip in North Wales. The course is full of unexpected joys - not least the swans and ducks who have taken up residence as squatters. The course is said to lie on what was once the bed of the River Conwy and it is from here that the Welsh prince Madoc is reputed to have set sail on his voayage to discover America, around 300 years before Christopher Columbus managed the same feat. Visitors can choose to play 9 or 18 holes and many will enjoy the chance of playing to a Sawgrass style island green. Rhos-On-Sea Golf Club and Hotel offers packages for golfers and visitors are welcome. The course has undergone a number of improvements since the club was brought under new ownership in 2004.
