Golf Course Says
Rhondda Golf Club was founded in 1910 and is located in the picturesque Rhondda Valley in South Wales. The Club is proud of its roots to coal mining and we can offer breathtaking views over the remnants of these local collieries and the surrounding countryside. On a clear day The Bristol Channel can also be seen from the elevated 7th tee.
Situated around 15 miles from the M4 corridor, Rhondda Golf Club is easily accessed from East and West Wales. The course is laid out on various plateaus of the Mountain that splits the Fach (large) and Fawr (small) Valleys that make up The Rhondda Valley. Famous for its panoramic views of which have to be seen to be believed, Rhondda Golf Club is known for more than its views. Slick undulating greens make our course a real test for all levels of golfer. Our 7th hole is regarded as one of the best par 3s in the whole of Wales and the water hazard on the front of the 14th hole has ruined many a fine scorecard. Par 70, the course measures 6063 yards from the Championship tees, however depending on the wind can play much tougher. Each hole is named after a former Colliery to celebrate our coal -mining heritage.
