Widely regarded as one of the best 9 hole courses in Britain - Peter Alliss, that doyen of golf broadcaster, has called "it a little gem" - Reigate Heath Golf Club makes wonderful use of Reigate Heath itself to present a wonderful and intriguing golfing challenge. The course, par 67, demands patience and accuracy but there is plenty of time to practice as Reigate Heath has some of the best greens in Surrey, greens that are in use throughout the year. The course was established in 1895 and some alteration work in the 1970's created the Reigate Heath Golf Course of today. With 18 tees the front and back nine present a differing challenge and the size of that challenge is illustrated by the fact that the amateur course record only broke par in Reigate Heath's centenary year. The clubhouse lies in the shadow of old fashioned windmill making Reigate Heath one of the most attractive clubs you will have ever been in.
