Regent Park Golf Club prides itself on the quality of the course and the high level of maintenance. Regent Park Golf Club has been a firm local favourite since first opening to the public in 1932. The course was designed by the master course architect - and five time Open Champion - James Braid who, seemingly immune from fatigue, designed so many of the great British courses in the 1920's and 1930's. A couple of long par fours and some tricky narrow fairways mean Regent Park golf course is a real test that can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.

I think Regent Park in Bolton was a nice course in its day. I first played this course in winter when it should have been closed and the winter greens were probably the worst I have ever seen. Nobody expects anything spectacular from winter greens but these were just uncut rough. I foolishly decided to give it another chance in June 2006 and the course was tired, greens potted, bunkers in a poor condition and the tee boxes were in a bad way. Ok, its only £14 but still they need to spend some money on the course.
