Peterstone Lakes Golf Club is a pleasant surprise in South Wales: There are no moutains to negotiates, steep hills to traverse or valleys to trek through. Natural water hazards will threaten your score card if you have not packed accuracy among the weapons in you bag but the sea breeze as you admire the Severn Estuary will be more gentle than destructive. The land that Peterstone Lakes Golf Club occupies has been farmed for more than a 1000 yards and the evidence suggests the Romans once toiled on the soil that now seems such a perfect setting for a golf course. The course was opened in 1990 and has been under family ownership since 1998. The new owners have made some excellent improvements and allowed the natural maturing course to take shape, as well as making big improvements to the clubhouse, and today Peterstone Lakes Golf Club is one of the most appealing courses in the area.

GreenFreePeterstone Lakes Golf Course is a parkland/links championship course of 6600 yards, par 72 and SSS 72. It sits on the edge of the Severn Estuary between Newport and Cardiff in the tranquil setting of the Gwent Levels.
Todays GolferA bit flat and featureless in places but there are some cracking holes. Not really a track that you want to be thrashing around with a driver. Good fun and good value.
