Pennington Golf Course is a great course for beginners and young players as there are quite a few short par 4's however don't be fooled into thinking that this is an easy course because there is water, water everywhere. In fact 7of the 9 holes have water in one guise or another. The course also features two of the hardest par 3's you're ever likely to play. The fourth hole at Pennington Golf Course is about 175 yards in length with a stream cutting across the fairway and arcing around the right hand side, it has a very small green hemmed in by bunkers and trees. The seventh hole is over 200 yards in length and the stream mentioned above cuts diagonally across the fairway but at such an angle that it is in play for the full length of the hole starting on your left on the tee and ending at the right of the green. It is very difficult to judge the line on this hole and when the wind blows it's almost impossible to find the green. Pennington Golf Club offers great value for money costing around £4 for nine holes.
