Golf Course Says
Inaugurated in 1925 by the Spanish Royal family, Parador is the Costa del Sol's oldest course. Located close to Malaga, it's very popular with UK golfers due to its interesting mixture of parkland and links style holes (some of which feature seawater lagoons) and its fast greens. Created by Tom Simpson, who also designed Muirfield and Turnberry, Parador has hosted several international events, including the prestigious Turespana Masters in 1999 (won by Miguel Angel Jimenez). It's easy to walk and is suitable for all levels of golfer, though some holes present a real challenge - especially when the wind blows.
