Olivia Nova is one of the most recent courses to be designed by Severiano Ballesteros south of Costa Valenciana and is still maturing. Oliva Nova is a very complete and well-groomed course, with a layout that requires players to use all the clubs in their bag and be able to play a wide variety of shots.
Water is a constant risk, lurking ever ready to claim wayward shots, even those only slightly off the fairway and to guard a number of greens. The greens are tricky to approach and to play as they are severely contoured and in many cases shaped like upturned saucers and are built on slopes. Close to the sea (the cooling sea-breeze is often much appreciated), this course calls for a little patience and if you are not careful an extra bag of balls.
