Golf Course Says
One of the oldest continuously used course in existence North Berwick Golf Club West Links is yet another of the mighty east coast links offering the golfer wodenrful golf, a sense of real golfing history and a warm welcome. The course starts in the very heart of the thriving seaside town of North Berwick before stretching along the shore (errant shots and you may find yourself on the beach!) The course offers stunning views out across the Firth of Forth towards Fife and has played an major part in the story of Scottish golf from the legendary challenge matches of the 1800's to the 2010 Amateur Championship. North Berwick West Links is a unique experience for the golfer. There is also a nine hole childrens course.

Todays GolferA round on the West Links provides - and guarantees - full-on golfing entertainment. The highlights come thick and fast, not least the panoramic views across the Firth - not even St Andrews and Turnberry can compete. Highlights come thick and fast.

This is a no brainer, just go and play it! This is links golf as it should be. I was playing with some Canadians and one of them remarked 'who would put a wall in the middle of a golf course' (hole 13, The Pit). I told him that the wall probably predated the course and certainly Canada! Anyway, magical place and whoever designed the course was a Genius!

North Berwick Golf Course is my favourite links course in Scotland. It's historic layout is classically unique and even if you aren't playing well, you will be impressed by the design and standard of the course. Both nines offer differing shot challenges, with holes 2, 13 and 15 being some of the best links holes anywhere. The finishing hole is a drivable in front of the clubhouse that offers a great chance to put a cherry on a super round. Dont miss out on North Berwick!

North Berwick is one of those courses they just would not build anymore. The very traditional Scottish links design has bunkers and swales everywhere with blind approach shots on several holes. It is a very tough layout and very quirky. The closing holes sum this up with a par-4 at 13 with an approach over a wall, then the par-3 Redan at 15 with a green you can't see sloping away from you. 16 has a ridiculous raised green split in two and 17 a blind second over a bunker and bank. If you have never played North Berwick then you must go, just don't play it in a medal. Tee off early as it can get very busy and slow sometimes.

North Berwick Golf Course is superb. What a course and there was hardly anyone on it. The first few holes run along the coast before you move inland. There is an old wall that runs across some holes that you have to avoid. The 13th is a great par 4 with the green sitting on one side of the wall with the fairway on the other and the green on the 16th has to be seen to be believed. North Berwick Golf Course is a great course that makes you hit every club in the bag.
