In addition, there is an extensive driving range and practice facilities and a well appointed clubhouse in which to relax after a round. The Hawkshill course has been host to a number of top events, including the Scottish Seniors Open.

The Newmacher Hawkshill course is a great test of golf. There are a lot of very tight driving holes and lots of water to test your nerves. Every hole is a challenge and the par-3 9th downhill to a green with water close to the edge sums it all up. The greens at Newmacher Hawkshill were in great condition when we were there. Make sure you can hit it straight though or take lots of balls!
