Golf Course Says
The oldest club in Edinburgh to still be in use, Mortonhall Golf Club was founded in 1892 and remain one of the country's foremost courses. The course measures 6502 yards and the perfect fairways are wonderfully complemented by the mature trees lining the course. The wildlife and natural habitats are simply stunning but it is the unrivalled views over the city, out on to the Forth and over to five and in the other direction the famous Pentland Hills that really takes the breath away. Mortonhall Golf Club is quite simply on of the finest courses in the area.

Mortonhall is a great course near the centre of Edinburgh. A lush, parkland course with surprising elevation on various holes. Typically in good condition from April to September, Mortonhall is not long at 6600 yards, but with a bit of wind, can prove a good test. Can struggle with excess rain, so be warned. However, when in good condition in the summer, the course is impressive. The tee shot on the second along with holes 10 and 16 prove why this course is one of the best in the area. No range, and practice area is on top of a hill, so be prepared to commit to your opening tee shot...

Mortonhall is right up there as one of the best courses in Edinburgh. The greens are usually in excellent condition in the summer months and the layout offers great holes and great views across Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth. The par-5s are all pretty gentle with 2 of them being downhill. However the tough uphill par-4s at 11 and 13 even them out. Mortonhall is not overcrowded and the clubhouse is excellent for food and liquid refreshment. Well worth playing.

Mortonhall Golf Club is a pretty good course with some decent holes. Course was in good condition but it did take a while to get round. Not sure if that is just down to the length of the course, which is fairly long, or if it was just me hitting more shots! The Mortonhall Golf Clubhouse was not the friendliest.
