Merthyr Tydfil Golf Club is a mountain top course within the Brecon Beacons National Park, with outstanding views over the surrounding area. It has an open moorland terrain, plays longer than it's stated length of 5600 yards and presents a challenge to golfers of all handicaps. The course is easily accessed, being within a quarter of a mile of the A470/A465 Junction at Cefn Coed-y-Cymmer, two miles North of Merthyr Tydfil Town Centre.

The layout provides a good variation of golf holes to test the shotmaking ability of the travelling golfer, who cannot fail to be impressed by the magnificent views over the surrounding South Wales countryside.
