The Rothschild course at the Mentmore Golf & Country Club is a par 72 championship layout that stretches to 6,800 yards from the championship tees. A mature course set in rolling parkland there a number of challenges for the player to overcome if they are to record a good score. With water hazards dominating six of the first nine holes and a long carry required over water on the 14th the Rothschild is certainly a test of nerves that will not have been passed until the player holes his putt on the last, as the finishing hole is a long par 3 between trees and over water!
