Golf Course Says
Marriott Breadsall Priory Golf & Country Club Priory Course is the more testing of Bredsall Priory's two championship courses. If accuracy is not your strong point then it could be a difficult round - tight fairways are often tree lined and lead to small green. The parkland Priory course skirts round the hotel in some of Derbyshire most stunning countryside.

GreenFreeMarriott Breadsall Priory Golf Course was created in 1977 and winds through the undulating parkland surrounding the hotel. It requires a good degree of accuracy as you drive down the tree lined fairways. The Moorland course is in complete contrast and is set deep in the local Derbyshire countryside.
2-Fore!-1Two super 18 holers are complemented by a Marriott Hotel at this impressive golf complex. The undulating, clay based Priory is the No. 1.

As a golf break venue, the Hotel, the quality of the two courses and the facilities cannot be faulted. I played the Priory Course, the Championship course at Breadsall Priory on a Monday morning, with a scheduled Tee off of 10.24. The earlier Tee times had been taken by society golfers, who appeared to be a number of mixed ability groups. My four ball eventually, got teed off at 10.50am, (enough said). The Priory Course differs from the Moorland in that it requires a more thoughtful game plan. The course has more mature features, essentially, taller trees, meaning positional play is more critical. Again, an enjoyable round, but at 5 hours 40 minutes, a round for the record books for all the wrong reasons!
