Set around an abundance of lakes that brings to mind the famous courses of Florida, Longhirst Hall Golf Club’s Lakes Course takes advantage of panoramic views of the Northumberland coastline to provide the golfer with an unforgettable experience. The Lakes ensure that the course is a true test of accuracy and with tight fairways course management it tested to the utmost. Opened in 1997 the course has seen extensive investment with the planting of over 50,000 and it promises to be an even tougher test when it fully matures. The Lakes, and its sister course the Dawson, both close in the winter and the original Old Course is played again.

GreenFreeLonghirst Hall Golf Course now has a choice of two challenging but different 18 hole layouts (only one course operates during the winter period). Both courses are modelled around the extensive lakes and ponds, which create a 'Florida' feel to this picturesque part of Northumberland.

Quite tight fairways, challenging water hazards,(for the mid handicapper) and clover semi and long rough. The course itself is not overly long, but the greens are not quite there. Overall a good contrast to it's sister course - "The Dawson" both should be played.
