Golf straddling two countries on the course that produced a Masters champion is the proud claim of Llanymynech Golf Club. The major champion was Ian Woosnam who began playing here at the age of nine (both his parents served as captain). And 15 of the holes lie in Wales, three across the border in England with the fourth hole having the unique feature of the tee sitting proudly in one country, the hole in another. Still one of Woosnam's favourite courses Llanymynech (the name means Church of Monks) is a wonderful course to play in an idyllic setting.
