Golf Course Says
Above the Royal Burgh of Linlithgow lies Linlithgow Golf Club a 5851 yard parkland course that is challenging for all types of players without being long enough to be exhausting. Carnoustie professional Robert Simpson designed the original nine hole course in 1913 before the course was extended in 1950.

GreenFreeLinlithgow Golf Course is situated high above the town and blends completely with the farmland and hillside which surrounds it. The aim of Linlithgow Golf Club is very much to help nature take its course through, good sympathetic course management and an abundance of flora and fauna is a feature of this pleasant parkland layout.

Linlithgow golf club is a pretty good course for a hillside location. There are quite a few short par-4s, but it is only when you get on top of the hill at the 6th that they start to become any good. Although this hole is short, it does require some thought. Thereafter there are some good par-3s and two good back to back par-5s that can help the score along. The 17th is a par-3 with a big drop that is a bit of luck and judgement. Overall Linlithgow golf course is good fun and some nice views too.

Linlithgow Golf Course is a strange course. It has some really nice holes mixed with some really lack lusture holes that kind of spoil of the course. Linlithgow Golf Club is in a really nice setting and the clubhouse is nice, but the course will not thrill many players.
