Leeds Golf Club (Cobble Hall)

Leeds Golf Club, known locally as Cobble Hall, is a mature parkland layout situated on the north side of the city. With several alterations in the early twentieth century from the renowned Dr. Alastair MacKenzie it is the home of golf’s oldest professional tournament that has been won by players from Harry Vardon to Howard Clark. An undulating course with a par of 69 it provides and excellent test of golf with the par 7th a perfect example. A testing drive from a plateau is required before the golfer must hit an accurate approach to a double tiered green that is well protected by both bunkers and gorse.
