Las Brisas Golf

Opened in 1969 to a Robert Trent Jones design that still stands the test of time Las Brisas has an enduring reputation as one of the finest courses in Spain. Elevated greens are protected by sand and accuracy is the key to negotiating what is recognised as a top class course with all the challenges that go hand in hand with such stature. The course has witnessed World Cup wins by the American duo of Jack Nicklaus and Jonny Miller and the Australian pair of Wayne Grady and Peter Fowler while the Spanish Open at Las Brisas has been won by Eamonn Darcy and Nick Faldo. The course hasn't been such a happy hunting ground for natives: Seve Ballesteros and Manuel Pinero have finished runner up in Opens here and José María Cañizares and José María Olazabal knocked into second place at the World Cup. That the world's best have so regularly tested themselves against Las Brisas Golf Club is testament to the quality of the course.
