Golf Course Says
Knockanally Championship Golf Course was founded in 1985, and stands on 125 acres of parkland with many water hazards and stately, mature trees all round, with delightful views over the North Kildare countryside. The excellent clubhouse at Knockanally Golf Club, housed in a 19th century Palladian mansion formerly owned by the Coates family, commands panoramic views of the 6,424 yard course. Knockanally Golf Club enjoys a proud and well-founded reputation for hospitality and for being a truly excellent "test of golf". Christy O'Connor Snr. has been quoted as saying that Knockanally has the most difficult opening hole in Irish golf. Knockanally Golf Course also boasts water features on eleven holes. One of the most attractive is the par three 11th which is beautifully set amidst overhanging trees and protected front and right by water.
