Golf Course Says
The Killeen course at Killarney Golf Club, is one of the greatest courses in the country. At 6474 metres it will certainly challenge the longest of hitters and with water on almost every hole accuracy is essential. The Killeen Course at Killarney Golf Club played host to the Carroll's Irish Open in both 1991 and 1992, and proved to be a stern test for the Pro's. For the 1991 Carroll's Irish Open, only three players finished under par for the tournament. Killarney Golf Club's Killeen Course also hosted the Curtis Cup in 1996, when Great Britain & Ireland defeated the USA. With an impressive list of international tournaments such as these, you will not be disappointed with what Killarney Golf Club's Killeen Course has to offer.

Media Reviews
Where2Golf.comNot everyone puts the Killarney Killeen golf course ahead of the Mahony's Point course here at Killarney, but many golfers seem to have a slight preference for the layout that hosts the big championships - the Killeen. The start is very good. Some excellent lakeside holes tightly hug Lough Leane and give fabulous views onto Macgillycuddy's Reeks. Most of the Killeen course is laid out just back from the lake in a flattish area of parkland, where mature trees and more open areas combine to give a classic mixed parkland environment. The Killeen is a tad tighter than its sister course, but in many respects feels a similar track, with the lakeside holes coming at the start rather than at the end as on Mahony's Point. The best solution is to play both the Killeen and Mahony's Point courses, and if you've time try to fit in the new Lackabane course as well.
