Golf Course Says
Rightly hailed as the finest inland course in Ireland the K Club Smurfit Course is a true championship course beloved of those who have played it. 14 acres of water add to challenge with the back six in particular never far from a sodden disaster on the scorecard. The par five 7th hole is lauded as one of the most spectacular in Europe and has been the scene of much drama. Very different from the Palmer Course The K Club Smurfit Course is a golf course that you simply have to experience.

Media Reviews
Where2Golf.comThe fame of the K Club has already spread far and wide, much assisted by the excellence of the Palmer course (formerly known as the North course). The Palmer is a mixed parkland layout with many fine features - the waterfall at the par-3 5th; the Liffey River (Dublin's river) at the wonderful par-5 7th and at the "Half-Moon" par-4 8th; Straffan House itself (a magnificent stately pile); the fountain-lake at the 10th and again, just as dangerously, at the par-5 18th. Add in much tree-planting, which is maturing well, together with superb maintenance standards and a treat awaits you each time you tee it up here at the K Club's Palmer course.

Wow!! The K Club Course is a must. Great course with not a bad hole on it. Unbelievable condition and greens were like putting on a glass table. Fast and true. You knew about 8-10 feet before the hole if your ball was going in or not. As with every course I've played in Ireland the K Club welcome and hospitality was superb. Very friendly and can't do enough for you. The K Club is one of the best you will ever play.
