High Post Golf Course in Wiltshire is a fine downland course that has hosted a number of prestigious national championship events. An Open Championship Regional Qualifying venue, the fine fescue grasses at High Post presents excellent conditions and together with the quick draining nature of the soil ensures that play is possible on the summer tees and greens all year round. High Post Golf Course is easy to walk and is characterised by undulating well-bunkered fairways and deep well disguised grass hollows. To score well accuracy and good club selection is vital as each hole is bordered by either hawthorn or blackthorn bushes, no more so than the 9th hole which Peter Alliss placed in his dream list of 18 holes.
