Golf Course Says
Harrogate Golf Course is a Dr. Alister Mackenzie design that although just under 6,250 yards in length and on relatively flat ground will provide a challenging test to all players. With typical Mackenzie styled greens, strategic bunkering and mature tree-lined fairways accuracy is at a premium and players who miss the fairway will invariably be penalized. The last six holes include four par 4’s over 400 yards in length, including the 17th that features in Mackenzie’s book ‘Golf Architecture, making Harrogate Golf Club one of the toughest finishes in Yorkshire.
