Golf Course Says
The Glamorganshire Golf Club has a unique place in the history of the game: It was here that a certain Dr Frank Stableford experimented with a new scoring method in 1898 and so the Stableford was born at Glamorganshire. Lapping the edge of Cosmeston Lakes Glamorganshire is - despite its proximity to the see - actually and 18 hole parkland course. Glamorganshire Golf Club is easily accessible from Cardiff and is the second oldest course in Wales. Indeed the course has long been a magnet for visitors and the first visit of the famous Barbarians Rugby team to Glamorganshire can be traced all the way back to 1901.
Media Reviews
GreenFreeGolfers will find Glamorganshire Golf Club a challenge with its natural slopes and valleys combined with McEvoys's trademark undulating greens and some 90 bunkers. The parkland layout of Glamorganshire Golf Course plays much like a links course.
