GreenFreeGalashiels Golf Course is situated in a spectacular position on the west facing slopes of the hills rising above the east side of the town. Testing hilly parkland on two levels, with three holes on a hill, the layout cleverly uses it's natural features.

Should have stropped after the first 8 holes of Galashiels Golf Club. These holes are OK with the par 5 third being the pick of the bunch. Holes 9, 10 and 11 require a chair lift that is sadly not provided. Get your hiking boots on as these three holes will test your love of the game. All three are straight up a very steep hill and are no fun what so ever. Once you reach the top there are a few nice holes before you head back down the mountain. Not what I would call a golf course, more of an endurance challenge. Galashiels Golf Club doesnt have much of a clubhouse but they do make you feel welcome.
