With views over Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Ferenze Golf Club has been a fixture of Ferenze Braes since 1904. The moorland course is reminiscent of a links course and tight fairways put a premium on accuracy. Three par fives and four par three represent a challenge rather than easy birdie chances. The fifth hole demands a drive over a gorge without out of bounds haunting the wayward and the 10th requires the golfer to weigh up the pros and cons of playing short and safe or taking the high risk, high reward long route. As with the hole course these stand out hole at Ferenze Golf Club require all player to concentrate and be thoughtful as they plot their way around the course.
