Golf Course Says
Elderslie Golf Course in Renfrewshire is well placed to the west of Glasgow and Elderslie itself was the birth place of William Wallace. The course is a parkland layout that makes good use of the Newton Woods which are famous in the Wallace legend. The course is largely unaltered since opening in 1909. From the 3rd to the 13th Elderslie Golf Club skirts around the Newton Wood and visitors will greatly enjoy the 9th hole with views of the Clyde Valley and Ben Lomond.
Media Reviews
GreenFreeThe Elderslie Golf Club was founded in 1909. Fifteen years later in 1924 James Braid was commissioned to re-design a number of holes and the resulting parkland layout is a delightful, yet challenging 6175 yards.
