Golf Course Says
Established in 1896 and designed by the great Harry Colt Edgbaston Golf Club is a members club that offers wonderful golf in a stunning setting just a couple of miles away from the centre of Birmingham. The course centres around a stunning historic clubhouse that was designed for Sir Richard Gough in 1717. Edgbaston golf course itself features an ornamental lake and as you weave through tree lined hole after tree lined hole you will not find it hard to believe the Capability Brown, that most famous of English landscapers, was involved in the design of this stunning setting. For a warm welcome and a wonderful game of golf in a setting that's calmness belies its city location Edgbaston Golf Club is a wonderful treat.
Media Reviews
Todays GolferA haven of golfing calm. A favourite of Peter Alliss among others. Harry Colt knew just how to make the most of the abundant woodland that it the tight course it is today with clever bunkering and tricky greens. Avenues of towering trees demand precision from almost every tee.
