Since being founded in 1837 Dunfermline Golf Club has led a slightly wandering life and the present course is the club's fourth home. The course, which boasts a fine clubhouse, was designed by JR Stutt who struck upon the unusual combination of five par 5's and five par 3's in the 18 hole layout. This has, however, contributed to years of enjoyment with Dunfermline Golf Club offering great variations in length and tactics from hole to hole. The five par 3's are delightful holes and the use of dog legs adds to the interest. This mature and gently undulating parkland layout is indeed a fine test of golf and one of which the members can be justly proud.
