Where2Golf.comBetween Wareham and Bere Regis is a spectacular piece of heathland, best known for accommodating the Bovington tank training ground. More recently the heathland has become home to the Dorset Golf & Country Club on which is the excellent Lakeland course. Water is an ever-present danger on this very interesting Hawtree layout, and getting lost in the gorse bushes is also an option, should you not find the generously sized fairways. The general condition often shows signs of heavy usage, but this does not detract from the courses undoubted quality and interest.
