Golf Course Says
The Championship course at the De Vere Mottram Hall in Cheshire is split into two very disinctive loops of 9 holes that together represent a true test of golf and one that will challenge every level of player. The architect Dave Thomas, who designed the famous Brabazon course at the Belfry, has fashioned the front nine from relatively flat parkland that is home to what is the oldest known oak tree in Cheshire. By contrast the back nine is densely wooded and it’s undualting fairways lead to well protected greens.

Media Reviews
Where2Golf.comDe Vere Mottram Hall is a well-maintained and testing parkland course especially off the back tees. The layout is open parkland, rather flat and not too inspiring on the front nine, but giving way to a more interesting and undulating back nine. Many golfers will struggle to hit the long par-3’s and some of the par-4’s will also require some big hitting onto generously wide fairways to reach the good quality greens.
Todays GolferGreat Pennines and Peak District vistas. Make your score on the front nine as the back nine is tougher.
