Golf Course Says
With panoramic views over the Cheshire countryside and out to the hills of the Welsh borders the Cheshire course at the De Vere Carden Park offers a spectacular round of golf. Typical of the best heathland courses the Cheshire demands that golfers display all aspects of their games to negotiate their way around the course. With penal bunkers, many with revetted faces, the player will require accuracy from the tee and display control on his approaches into the firm greens. The Cheshire is a par 72 that is 6824 yards long and golfers will have to be aware of the Ha-Ha that runs through three holes and a lake that threatens there approach to the 12th if they are to score well over what is an enjoyable and challenging test for golfers of all abilities.
Media Reviews
GreenFreeDe Vere Carden Park Golf Club is one of the country's leading Leisure and Golf resorts, situated in 750 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside. The 192 bedroom hotel and resort boasts two magnificent golf courses, the Championship Nicklaus and the testing Cheshire course.
Where2Golf.comQuite different from Carden Park’s other offering, the Carden Park is a course that any golfing enthusiast will thoroughly enjoy playing, and need to apply good course management skills to card a decent score. Not too much water to worry about , although on holes 3, 12 and 18 it is a major factor. The sand traps are much more in the pot bunker style than arge and open , but equally dangerous. The first 13 holes are relatively open and undulating. From the 14th the Carden Park course heads higher and higher into a more wooded environment. At the 18th, a cracking hole, the beauty of the spectacular views across to Wales are fully realised.
