Golf Course Says
Dainton Park was designed by Adrian Smith (who also designed the Players Club and Kendleshire near Bristol) who created 18 distinct challenges to offer the golfer a memorable test of their games. With 20,000 trees introduced as well as numerous lakes and ponds for definition, together with Stiff’s ‘Railway Sleeper’ trademark that is evident with over 1000 used in construction, the course is certainly a challenge. Reputed to have the two toughest opening holes in Devon, the numerous bunkers and well protected greens will ensure that anybody matching their handicap at Dainton Park will have to have played very well indeed.
Media Reviews
Todays GolferParkland course on rolling countryside with elevated tees, tree lined fairways, 50 plus bunkers and water. Greens are fairly tasty too. First two holes considered the toughest opening in the country.
