Golf Course Says
The second highest course in England, Crosland Heath Golf Course is a challenging heath land layout that will provide a challenge to all levels of player, especially when the prevailing wind is blowing. Founded in 1896 the Crosland Heath Golf Club moved to its present site in 1914 and a plot of unused farm land and disused quarries was masterfully used by the renowned architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie. He created a heath land course that utilised all of the crevasses, rocks and heather rough whilst adding his trademark strategic bunkering and excellent fairways and greens. Maintained to the highest standards all year round Crosland Heath Golf Club is a true test and with extensive views across Huddersfield to the East Riding guarantees a memorable days golf.
Media Reviews
GreenFreeCrosland Heath was founded in 1914 and is the second highest golf club in England. This interesting but testing heathland course is renowned for the quality of the greens and although situated in the Pennines is a pleasant non-ardous walking course offering breathtaking panoramic views.
GreenFreeCrow Nest Park is a 9 hole (18 tee) layout, providing an enjoyable test. There are many mature trees sacrificing distance for accuracy is a prudent play.
