Cottrell Park Golf Club Button Gwinnet Course may be of special interest to any visitors who may be coming from across the Atlantic: the course is named after the Button family who called Cottrell Park Home in the 1600's. Button Gwinnet himself, a descendent of the famiy, was one of the men who signed American Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia in 1776. The golf course that bears his name has a par of 71 and measures some 6123 yards. Cottrell Park Button Gwinnet course offers incredible panoramas reaching as far as the Brecon Becons and, south, over the Bristol Channels to the distant Mendips.
