Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club is a classic links course that is deserving of every plaudit that comes its way (and there are a few: venue for 2008 Ryder Cup Wales Senior Open, host of 2009 European Amateur Team Championship, 2006 Best Welsh Course Award, 2006 Golf Monthly Gold Award) and remains a joy to play. The course sits at the mouth the River Conwy's estuary and is widely regarded locally - and beyond - as one the finest courses in the area. If you are able to concentrate on anything aside the woderful course, Conwy (Caernarvonshire) Golf Club offers superb views of Anglesey and the Great Orme.

Where2Golf.comPicturesquely situated on the Morfa peninsula between the Conwy estuary and the hills, is this flattish and thoroughly enjoyable Caernarvonshire links course. Gentle undulations and a smattering of gorse are the case, rather than towering dunes or ever-present bushes lining fairways. With constant views of the estuary, the Great Orme overlooking Llandudno and the pleasant start of the Snowdonia mountains, there is always plenty to look at. The summer months see things turn distinctly brown and tight lies on the fairways are the norm. The pot bunkering around the par-3's gives each of them great character, and the closing stretch with the gorse-lined 16th and 17th holes could be potential card-wreckers unless care is taken.
