Concra Wood Golf and Country Club

Concra Wood Golf and Country Club is the first course to be designed by Christy O'Connor Junior and Christy O'Connor Senior. Ryder Cup heroes both, the uncle and nephew team have come together for the first time to build what is maturing into one of the finest course in Ireland. Although measuring over 7200 yards the inclusion of a number of tee boxes allows golfers of all abilities to enjoy a course that is of undoubted international championship standard. The course has been on the shores of Lough Muckno and makes wonderful use of some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery in Northern Ireland. All 18 holes have wonderful views and the course has been designed to be a wonderful course for the watching spectator so it surely won't be too long before the professional tours are beating a path to Concra Wood. Indeed so won over by the landscape was Christy O'Connor Senior that Concra Wood Golf and Country Club became his first foray into course design some 50 years into a hugely successful golfing career. The course is currently closed for visitor but will open in April 2009.
