Cleckheaton & District Golf Club

I played Cleckheaton & District Golf Course recently, on 10th June 2004. The course was in very good condition, as you would expect of most courses at this time of year, given the mixture of warm and sunny weather, with periodic showers. The greens at Cleckheaton & District Golf Course are well mown with lush, fine, healthy looking grass. There were only the occasional small patches of GUR and the bunkers were raked, clearly the members and green keepers take pride in their course. The lie of the land at Cleckheaton & District Golf Club has been used well to provide a mixture of holes and despite the apparent lack of length at only 5860 yards, all holes provide a test with a 480 Par 4 and a 243 Par 3 (Yellow tees) on the card, whilst the remainder use the contours of the land and tree lined fairways as an added obstacle. At £25 a round, 2-fore!-1 vouchers are a must on a weekday.
