Golf Course Says
It is believed that golf has been played at Chiltern Forest Golf course since 1894 and today the beautiful course offers a challenging and enjoying game of golf. Originally developed as a 6 hole course by the Rothschild family and with holes added during World War II by 3 time Open Champion Henry Cotton, the land was purchased by the members in 1979 and since then the club has delveloped a modern clubhouse and is continually aiming to improve he course. Alhthough it is only 5760 yards long from the white tees golfers must not be fooled as the undulating nature of the land means that the course plays every yard of that. Coupled with this challenge are holes such as the 160 yard par 3 nicknamed The Badger which has been rated as one of the “100 most difficult holes in England”.
