GreenFreeSituated on rolling hills affording scenic views of the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside, Chesfield Downs Golf Course boasts a superb 18-hole, par 71 championship golf course that has the feel of a links course. Maintained to the highest of standards, the course is based on chalk facilitating the finest all year round play.

Chesfield Downs Golf Course is described as an inland links this course is frequenlty at the mercy of a strong prevailing wind. A fair test to both low and high handicapers alike. If played a day with little or no wind (doesn't happen too often) the course becomes quite easy. Chesfield Downs Golf Course is fairly open with few trees that rarely come into play (may be in 20 years). I would descibe the course as gently undulating - an average walk compared to most. Clubhouse/other facilities at Chesfield Downs Golf Club are good including: Large pro shop (although a little expensive), Driving Range, Putting Green, 9 hole, par 3 course (very well maintained), Bar.
