Built in 145 acres of ancient green belt woodland Chartham Park Golf Course boasts spectacular views across the North Downs. At 6680 yards with a par of 72 this parkland design by Neil Coles has been open since 1988 was constructed and is maintained to the highest standards. Featuring an abundance of mature trees, lakes and takes on a definite heathland feel on a number of the holes on the back nine. Chartham Park also boasts a driving range and practice area on which the golfer can hone their games.

Fantastic Course - A great challenge, very memorable holes! The first is a great opening hole with water to carry in front of the green which can test the nerves at the very start of the round! The last 3 holes can kill a good round with water coming in to play on all of them, the 16th in particular is a very good hole, dog-leg to the left with a tricky shot over the water for your second - go and play it, great value for money!

There is a good variety of holes at Chartham Park Golf Club although the layout is generally unmemorable. On the day I played, the greens were rather poor and the round was nearly 5 hours courtesy of the society in front. Unusually though there is real grass on the practice ground.
