Where2Golf.comSet amongst some very pleasant and gently undulating Kent countryside is Nick Faldo’s excellent Chart Hills golf course. On this expansive terrain, with some equally expansive greens, the opening par-5 reveals the scale of the impressive bunkering that abounds on the course, while the par-4 2nd, reveals the danger of water hazards that accompany about half the holes. Generally there is enough space for tee-shots (once you get to know the course), but at the short, island green, par-3 17th, there is only the green to aim at - everything surrounding it is great for the abundant waterline, but a final resting place for any balls that miss the green. With the really memorable bunkering (that tends to hunt in packs), and a fine English rural setting (quite linksy but with many fine oaks to break up the openness), Chart Hills is definitely not a course to miss.
Todays GolferAn impressive Sir Nick Faldo layout. Famous for numerous and enormous bunkers. Significant amount of water too, not least at the par 3 17th with its island green.
National Club GolferSir Nick Faldo's first creation on British soil and still one of his best. No weak holes, all have a sense of adventure and are eminently playable - expecially from the yellow tees. A perfect venue for all season.

Chart Hills Golf Club is a lovely location and excellent layout, provided you like trips to the beach! This Faldo design is a fantastic arrangement of varied holes that have been well laid out. There is plenty of sand around, the 16th alone has some 41 bunkers on it, but the greens are superb and the surroundings wonderful.
