Golf Course Says
Cavendish Golf Club is an Alister MacKenzie design that opened in 1925 is the “Jewel in the Crown” of Derbyshire golf courses. Although only 5721 yards from the White Tees with a par of 68 the classic design encapsulates MacKenzie’s belief that length has no relation to the quality of the hole. The course blends in naturally with the beautiful surroundings with the fairways shaped by the natural contours to force poor shots into difficult positions to attack the greens placing premium on the approach and short games. Cavendish is a must play for all lovers of classic golf courses.
