Cathcart Castle Golf Club

A test for golfer of all abilites Cathcart Castle Golf Club offers the visiting player stunning views of Glasgow and, to the north west, the hills and Loch Lomond. The parkland course was laid out in 1895 and the undulating layout measures some 5861 yards. The six par threes offer a good chance to make a decent score but course management and accuracy are at a premium as two burns make their way across the front nine and the back nine sees out of bounds waiting to gather up any mistakes. The par five third hole with its downhill dogleg and both burns splitting the fairway is commonly regarded as the finest on the course. Cathcart Castle Golf Club is committed to an ongoing programme of improvements that has made the course a fine year round facility.
