Golf Course Says
If you are going to build a golf course why not turn to the best. That is exactly what Carya Golf Club did by employing Peter Thomson, five times winner of the Open and Australia's most successful golfer, to bring a little piece of English heathland golf to Turkey. Carya golf course is a stunning creation that immediately puts the visiting golfer in mind of Wentworth and those other classic heathland courses that cluster around London. That, of course, was Thomson's aim. Carya Golf Club was built on land that already had a heathland feel. That feel was spectacularly enhanced by the planting of one million heather plants. The result today is that Carya is one golf course that you will never forget.
Reminiscent of many of Surrey's famous heathland tracks. At over 7000 yards it's a demanding test of accuracy and strategy.

Lovely picturesque course, not TOO long or narrow and tight (unlike the National) but not without its own style and challenges. Had it not been for the state of the greens, this would have been up there near the top courses in Belek. The greens seemed patchy at best and did take away from the all round excellence of the course and facilities. I believe however that the course is closing at the end of May until the end of September for "extensive" re-working of the surface of the greens, which is good.
