Six miles to the southeast of Edinburgh Broomieknow Golf Club lies in the town of Bonnyrigg and visitors can expect a warm welcome at a mature, parkland course designed by Ben Sayers and James Braid. The course is an undemanding walk that provides a test of golf with water hazards and doglegs. A recent programme of improvements means that today Broomieknowe Golf Club measures 6150 yards with a par of 70.

Broomieknowe Golf Club is a relatively short course, but it demands a lot of accuracy. The first 3 and last 3 holes on the clubhouse side of the road are relatively easy, but the real test of the course comes in the middle of Broomieknowe's back nine, where tight tree lined holes require accurate driving.
