Golf Course Says
A stunning estate boasting some 543 acres Brocket Hall was home to two Prime Ministers. Today those two politicians are immortalised in the gentler pursuit of first class golf with the Brocket Hall Golf Club's Palmerston and Melbourne courses bearing the names of the two leaders. If that is quite a pedigree to live up to Brocket Hall's twin championship course more than deliver. In designing the Brocket Hall Melbourne Course Clive Clark and Peter Alliss have made wonderful and sympathetic use of the estate's natural lanscape to create a sumptuous test of golf. The wayward shot often risks the water as the River Lea twists and turns and golfers themselves will be carried by boat to complete the 18th. At that point you may feel you can walk on water or you may want to jump. Either way you will not be failed to be impressed by the quality of golf on offer at Brocket Hall Golf Club or the standard of the facilities - including a Michelin starred restaurant.
Media Reviews
Todays GolferIt was truly uplifiting to play the Melbourne at sumptuous Brocket Hall in the middle of an arctic blast but still find it in fantastic nick. The whole luxury set up is worthy of praise. More than lived up to its billing as a special place to play golf. Pricey.
