A flat 18 hole, parkland course Bothwell Castle Golf Club lies in the woodland surrounding Bothwell Castle. Challenging for players of all abilities Bothwell has long been popular with members and visitors alike for the quality of the course and the high standard of the greens. Bothwell's Castle Golf Club's signature hole is the par three eighth where a burn and bunkers guard a green that has out of bounds directly behing it. The spectacular par 5 18th hole features a sloping green that is, again, well guarded by a burn and bunkers. Some of the holes have been carefully redesigned following the building of the excellent new clubhouse.
